CEP 820: Teaching Students Online
Anne Hentz
This course offers a comprehensive exploration of the diverse applications of technology in teaching across various modes, including blended learning, flipped learning, and fully online formats. It goes beyond the basics, fostering a critical mindset among educators in the realm of online courses design and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Throughout the duration of this course I delved into the intricacies of designing and delivering online courses, gaining insights of a plethora of digital educational tools. The experience involved the exploration, creation and adaptation of different rubrics, enhancing my ability to assess students effectively in online environment. Furthermore, the course provided a deep dive into the Universal Design for Learning (UDL). As a culmination of this learning journey, I successfully crafted a three-lesson online course that seamlessly integrated Canva as an LMS, UDL principles for equal educational access, and contextualized content for a meaningful learning experience.

ED 800: Educational Inquiry
Steven Weiland
This course was a great exposure to the theories of education and iconic characters behind it, and the importance of educational research. One of the things I got fascinated by is learning by doing approach propelled by John Dewey. This helped me design lessons in which I involve my student in active learning processes. Not only did I learn what it means learning in the digital era, and how to adjust my teaching practices to learning trends, but also, I became cognizant of how living in diverse digital environments has affected people's capacity for synthetizing information. Finally, Vivian Palley teaches me the importance of doing research in the classroom.
CEP 810: Teaching for Understanding with Technology
Nicol Zumpano
CEP 810 has been a revelation, unveiling the expansive nature of education that goes beyond the classrooms. Embracing a 21st century learning style involves leveraging technology, a key factor for acquiring the skills necessary to address global challenges. Moreover, professionals across diverse field must recognize the importance of continuous learning beyond formal education sources, exemplified by Professional Learning Network (PLN), which thrives on the wealth of technological resources. For example, I got a lot from exploring affinity spaces in an attempt for learning to draw. This course has not only broadened my understanding of learning but has reshaped my perspective on teaching.

CEP815: Tecnology and Leadership
Kyle Shack
CEP 815 aims to stablish connection among technology, education, and leadership from a critical lens. Within this course I learned that leadership is not about solving momentaneous problems, rather it is about working for change in missionary thinkings. It is essential that education leaders develop different leadership skills at different levels, and advocate for asserted decisions when it comes to leveraging education with technology. That is, every stakeholder should take part in decision making and avoid using technology for its sake. Besides, I learned that being a leader does not mean being an authority but a person who plays in team, ask questions and listen genuinely, investigate, shares information, develop empathy, a person who motivates others and keep leadership philosophy.
CEP813: Electronic Assessment for Teaching and Learning
Stephany Jennings
Assessment is one of the cornerstones in education, this is what tells teachers and students how much is being learned, but also it may be a "gun" of marginalization in an education ecosystem if is not handled purposefully well intentioned. That is why this course address assessments from a critical perspective as well some historical background. In this course I have learned different methods educators might use for evaluating student, like for example formative assessment through the use of rubrics. These types of assessments are useful, especially when it comes to equity gaps closure in a country like the U.S. and others that has adopted its educational model. In addition, I also gained knowledge of novel ways to evaluate learning in the 21st century. One example is the use of games. This is from where I have gotten the idea of using Virtual Reality as a way to immerse students in simulated environments in which they perform at real-like context.

CEP818: Creativity in Teaching and Learning
Colin Gallagher
I started this course questioning my creativity in and out of the classroom. After having explored, created and shared different ideas, I realized that everybody is creative in different ways. I learned that being creative is a matter of using our senses; observe, touch, smell, heard. This takes us into inner tools like thinking, feeling, empathizing. Also, I became aware that creative people are the ones that have the capacity to put different thinking tools together through different methods. There is not a universal way to develop these tools, however, their development should be promoted at schools by the adaptation of curriculums to students needs and skills, for example, the arts are fundamental to train or senses in ways that make them more receptive to changes in our surroundings.

CEP817: Learning Technology by Design
Anne Hentz
Technology by design course wraps participants in designing by introducing the 5 phases of Stanford Design thinking model. As an educator I put myself in the role of a designer, in doing I developed fundamental skills at all phases of the design thinking model; Empathize, define, ideate, prototype. But more importantly is the fact there is not the final product. Any prototype always needs to be redefined and taken back through all the steps as the educational as well as students keep changing. The best of this course was that I was able to put a prototype into real practice proved that it really works if it is well designed.
EAD822: Engaging Diverse Students and Families
Dr. Jada Phelps
This course offers a broad view of contemporary education in countries like the US. and how different national administrations have strived to maximise opportunities for students learning experiences and minimise the inequity gaps between social groups. EAD 822 is an opportunity to explore how teachers, students and their family learn from one another by sharing beliefs and aptitudes. Also, this course empowers educators to analyze their teaching practices by learning about contemporary deficit thinking and how it marginalizes some social groups if it is not corrected timely. Another important take away from this course is the fact that discrimination goes beyond race, it involves genre, bodies, and languages. That's way it is the duty of education at all levels to approach topics related equity in teachers' education.

FLT881: Teaching Foreign Languages with Technology
Dr. Frederick J Poole
The primary objective of this course is to introduce in-service and pre-service teachers of foreign / second language to a variety of issues related to Computer Assisted language Learning (CALL). In doing so, I had the opportunity to explore traditional language teaching theories and then analyze how they fit or are adjusted in the technological world. FLT 881 also offers chances to explore bunch of digital applications both old and cutting edge like the Artificial Intelligence. During this course I became able to create artifacts that combine traditional methodologies and technology and take them to my classroom. Also, it helps me spring interest in doing research on the impact of technology on foreign language education.

CEP807: Capstone Portfolio
Dr. Matthew Coehler
This course aims to have graduates reflect on their learning adventure. Here I have the opportunity to put all the pieces together. That is, digital literacy through the creation an online presence in a multimodal way, take a look back to my goals and reflect on how they have changed or keep intact, and what I aim as a professional, and as a person. The most impactful part of this course is the big reflections essay. This part definitely pushed me to think about each course and how much I learned from them. As many other courses, this course places student in a collaborative learning.
