I was born in Itsmina, this is a small town located in the municipality of Choco, Northwest of Colombia. I'm the oldest of six siblings. I lived with my grandparents and three of my siblings until the age of 13 when I finished primary school. Then I moved with my mother to the city of Armenia in the department of Quindio, this was where my interest in technology started.

I am married to a beautiful woman; she was my best friend for many years and then we "made click". We don't have any children yet, but a funny dog, which name is Mutumbo. We spend a lot of time together doing different things like driving to different places, trying diverse food, cooking Sancocho for the whole family, or just walking around the mountains in our town. Also, we like the beach. For example, in our last trip we went to Capurgana- an exotic costal place located on the North west of Choco in Colombia.

One of my biggest passions is to spend time in the forest, have a close contact with nature. I have done it since I have memory. This is in my veins. So, every time when I can, I visit beaches, rivers or just go for a walk in the countryside.
Passing through the university in my undergraduate career was a total adventure with downs and ups. When I enrolled in the program of Modern Languages, I did because I wanted to speak English. I wanted to able to understand people's different languages from my own. However, this adventure went beyond my expectatives. There was where I learned about the value of education and how important it is in our society, especially for disadvantaged communities. I know what it means for some folks to manage a second language; that's why I have fallen in love with teaching and learning English.

I had always had a curiosity for technology, constantly exploring and learning various skills. for instance, I have delved into the intricacies of Adobe Photoshop and various video editing software. The catalyst for my heightened interest came with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, being witness of the swift transition from traditional to remote teaching. This swift sparked a specific need but also fascination with leveraging technology for teaching, particularly English. Following this trend, I embarked on an enriching journey at Michigan State University, immersing myself in a captivating adventure of knowledge.

I am an English instructor at SENA, this is the largest national educational training institution in Colombia. My role here is to teach English to students of different training programs, in doing so, I prepare material that is aligned with their programs. For example, I prepare English lessons for administration, Human Talent Management, agriculture, and Sofware development. I have to confess that teaching purposeful English is challenging but very enriching too. My experience in the Master of Arts of Education has helped me to leverage different tech tools to carry out most of the lessons and activities.
