Dr. Ghazanfar Ali - Postdoc

Dr. Ali completed his Ph.D. from UST in 2023. His research topic primarily focuses on infusing emotional Intelligence into virtual humans in AR/MR scenarios by leveraging deep learning of human behavior. He did his B.E Computer Engineering from NUST – Pakistan in 2014. In 2013, he cofounded a startup named Xetecx Solution, which aimed at providing IT Solutions to Local Clients. He is a former Faculty Member at a Pakistani University. In the Fall of 2017, he came to KIST as a UST student in the Integrative program and started working in the MR Lab.

Hwangyoun Kim completed a Master of Entertainment Technology (MET) degree at Carnegie Mellon University in 2015. He had work experience as a Unity developer in various fields such as educational games, avatar control systems, and health care applications. As a PhD student, he is interested in AI and Virtual Avatar for helping people who have various problems such as the difficulties of relationships, and emotional management.

Lee Jeong Ha completed his bachelor's in Art & Technology from Chung Ang University in 2023. In the spring of 2024, he came to KIST as a UST integrated program student and started working in the MR lab.
