AUDITION FOR OUR THEATRE COMPANY G/T CLASS TO BE A PART OF THE SPRING MAINSTAGE PLAY!

DT-751-1 Theatre Company - G/T Grades 9, 10, 11, 12 (1 credit)  Prerequisite: Theatre I or application and audition. (see Course Catalogue for full description) This course can be repeated for elective credit 

You are eligible for Theatre Company G/T  if:

1) You have already completed a full year of Theatre Arts 1 class

2) You complete the recorded audition & turn in your application to begin with G/T level coursework BY THE DUE DATE.  The due date for 2024-2025 Theatre GT Course Audition is Monday January 22, 2024. 

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE FULL LENGTH PLAY FOR PUBLIC PERFORMANCE :

The Theatre Company G/T class spends several months producing a full length play production performed for the public. The leading actors, designers, and student director come from the class and primarily use class time to put the show together. Only 2-3 weeks of afterschool time is required for Dress Rehearsals & Actual Public Performances. Title will be announced in September, for rehearsal primarily during class time over the Winter, and performance dates on March 3 & 4 at 7pm

This is the advanced level course for students who are passionate about Theatre. All students should be excited to dig in to more challenging play material, and be eager to perform/direct/design/playwrite. All Theatre GT students will be expected to continue to deepen their skills in all disciplines: Acting, Directing, Playwriting & Design, but they may develop areas of particular expertise/interest and take on student leadership opportunities in Theatre Productions performed afterschool for the public.
