Welcome to the HTML Website design unit of work. Here you will research and design an HTML website with CSS coding. You will research a topic of your choice to then develop and make your own informative website.
The intention of this unit is introduce students to website design, using coding.
The lessons for this unit will be teacher led using a series of practical lessons and example work and resources. Students will learn how to use HTML and CSS code to design a working website.
The impact of this unit will be measured by both the end of unit e-assessment and the final website which showcases the students' work.
Unit Learning Objectives
To understand how to produce a basic text based website.
To understand how to develop a website to include images and colour.
To add links and further pages to your website including your own coding ideas.

Assessment
You will be assessed on 3 areas of work for this unit.
Area 1: Your actual website
Area 2: The demonstration of your understanding of HTML coding using the skills sheet.
Area 3: The planning of your website, showing why you made decisions about your content, layout, menus, pictures etc.
