The intention of this unit is to provide an introduction to the fundamentals of computer programming, as well as being introduced to PowerPoint.
Students create an emoji, Implementing their ideas designing on PowerPoint before moving onto JavaScript.
The impact of this unit will be measured by the end of unit assessment where students show their programming, designs and completed emoji.
Unit Learning Objectives
To understand how to build up basic shapes to create an emoji using online software.
To understand how to build up more advanced shapes, including text and lines to create an emoji using online software.
To understand how to use additional Javascript to make your emoji interactive.

This has a set of 4 co-ordinates which are the four corners of your pologon.
The code at the end #xxxxxx is the colour of that shape.
Pologons (Triangles)

This has a set of 3 co-codinates which are the 3 corners of your triangle.
The code at the end #xxxxxx is the colour of that shape.
Circles

cx and cy are your co-orginates for the centre of the circle and r is your radius.
Eclipse

cx and cy are your co-ordinates for the centre of the exlipse and rx and ry are your two radiuses to form the shape.

x and y are your co-ordinates for where your text is, fill is the colour, font-family is the actual font, and font-size is the size of the text.

Produced 2 different design ideas with a range of shapes, including detailed feedback.
A detailed final design, taking feedback from ideas and adding detailed feedback.
A detailed evaluation with reflection from peers included, clear ideas how to improve.
