I have a strong interest in membrane science and technology as demonstrated by the number of research funding and research outputs. The good track-record was developed through experience working researcher in KU Leuven, Masdar Institute and NTU. My current research focuses on membrane technology for water and energy: including desalination, water and wastewater treatment, CO2 and bio-resource management (detail here). I have implemented gravity driven membrane process in rural area. I am also interested on sustainable process by utilizing waste and natural-based material for membrane fabrication, with special focus on module design and effective control of fouling. Implementation of “internet-of-thing” via “big data” analysis for plant optimization is also interesting. Finally, I am developing novel types of membrane reactors to address specific challenges (detail: click here).
