Course Description and Objectives:

The ESL class is designed to develop literacy and fluency in the English language for students who speak other languages. We teach students using the WIDA English Language Development (ELD) Standards https://wida.wisc.edu/teach/standards) that focus on developing language skills for social interaction and academic success. Classes are taught daily in small group settings with careful analysis of students’ needs and progress through close collaboration with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrators.
