The present pandemic opens opportunities for so many free virtual webinars. Being a member of Adobe Creative Educators in the Philippines offers many opportunities for professional training and development. My plan is to engage myself with Adobe Education Exchange and other educational technology - related professional development trainings. Furthermore, I would love to integrate Adobe Education Exchange into teaching. During the renovation of our SHS building, one of the classrooms affected was the computer laboratory where I conducted my classes in Grade 11 learners for the subject Empowerment Technologies. It was tough to deliver the lessons and technical practices without a computer, but since we are living in the 21st century when computers are not just a desktop with a long back cover and heavily weighted monitor, I have to come up with alternatives. Therefore, I started to embrace the challenge and used the power of mobile devices, which almost every learner has. One of the tasks they have to accomplish is to edit and enhance the captured image. I have introduced them the Adobe Photoshop Express and Adobe Lightroom where they can easily edit and enhanced the recent image they captured. Learners were able to perform the specific learning objectives even in the absence of computer laboratories and with the help of the Adobe Education Exchange resources. My point is, even amidst drawbacks and challenges, education will not stop and my passion to teach will never surrender.
