Humbled beyond words and filled with profound gratitude, it was a deeply moving experience to conduct a session on the economy of Bhutan for an inspiring group of De-suups at the Phaduna DSP Center in Punakha, who will soon carry the heart of our nation to the world as cultural guides. As we explored the vital pillars of our country’s progress—from our sacred geography and demography to the driving forces of trade, industry, agriculture, and tourism—I felt a powerful sense of hope for our shared future. To stand before these dedicated individuals and share this knowledge is never just a lecture; it is a sacred service toward nation-building that stirs my soul, and contributing to their journey as guardians of Bhutan’s rich heritage is an honour I will cherish forever. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the De-suung Skilling Programme for this beautiful opportunity; my heart is overflowing with perpetual gratitude.

There is no deeper honour, and no greater privilege, than being called to serve our nation. My heart is filled with gratitude for the opportunity to contribute, in whatever small way I can, to the future of our people and the land that has nurtured and shaped me. Reflecting on an incredible experience at the Royal Institute for Governance and Strategic Studies (RIGSS), where the deep dive into mindfulness and digital transformation offered powerful new perspectives on modern leadership. Stepping away from the daily routine to engage with such thoughtful insights has been both challenging and rewarding, providing much-needed clarity on navigating institutional change. I'm feeling incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn alongside such a dedicated group and am ready to bring these lessons back into practice!

I had the privilege of delivering a session on Product Cost Analysis to third- and fourth-year Food Science and Technology (FST) students. During the session, I discussed the importance of evaluating product costs across the entire value chain—from raw material sourcing and processing to packaging and marketing—and highlighted how effective cost analysis supports sustainable pricing and successful commercialization. By integrating entrepreneurship concepts with food product development, I encouraged students to adopt both scientific and entrepreneurial perspectives when developing innovative products. It was a rewarding opportunity to engage with enthusiastic students and contribute to their learning journey.

I attended an insightful training on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Research and Teaching, which provided a valuable opportunity to explore the transformative role of AI in higher education and academic research. The training introduced a range of powerful AI tools that can significantly enhance research productivity by supporting literature reviews, academic writing, data analysis, idea generation, and evidence synthesis. It also demonstrated how AI can enrich teaching through personalized learning, interactive content development, assessment design, and improved student engagement. While AI is not a substitute for critical thinking, subject expertise, or academic integrity, it serves as a powerful assistant that enables educators and researchers to work more efficiently, innovate in their practices, and focus on higher-value intellectual and creative tasks. The experience reinforced the importance of embracing AI responsibly to improve the quality, effectiveness, and impact of research and teaching in the rapidly evolving academic landscape
