Welcome to Mr. George's classroom resource website. The purpose of this site is to house materials that we use in class that are easily accessible to you regardless if you're actually in one of my courses. Google Classroom can get a little bit messy. If you happen to find yourself looking for, say, some information that's familiar on how to create an infographic, rather than scrolling through a Google Classroom feed you'll be able to find the information here more efficiently. Plus, if you bookmark the page, you'll have access for your next stage of academics.
This website will be quite active and hopefully change on a weekly basis. For now we're dividing up content in the following structure...
Learn how to craft everything from paragraphs to essays, along with videos and visuals.
If you're stumped on how to spot a theme, or you're looking for strategies to read faster, this section should help.
There's a lot of information out there. This section will help you figure out what's credible and how to organize it.
Film and video production is fun. It can also be complicated logistically. Where will you store files? What programs can you use? How do you edit? On top of that you want to do a good job. Lighting, audio, script writing, music, editing techniques -- there's a lot to learn.
What's an infographic? How do you format a report, resume, poster? Looking for free stock photos? Here I'll post answers to the above, advice, along with tools and tutorials that will guide you moving forward.
Quit reading off of your slides! Presenting in front of the class is an excellent opportunity to show off your learning and teach your classmates.
I'm currently filling up this site with more resources. Some pages may be blank. There are likely typos. If you have any suggestions or see a mistake, email me at ageorge@hsd.ca.
