All lessons must be paid for in advance (at least one week before the lesson takes place). Lessons may be paid for on a weekly basis or a monthly basis. Students should pick either a weekly or monthly basis and stick with it. Payment for lessons reserves lesson times, not a specific number of lessons. Lessons will not be "banked" for future use. See the Cancellation and Makeup Policy for more information on missing lessons.
Payment methods include cash, check, or credit/debit card. You can even setup a recurring monthly payment so lessons are not missed/cancelled due to nonpayment.
If you need to cancel a lesson, I need to know as early as possible. If a 7 day notice is given, I will try to find a makeup time within the upcoming week. If less notice is given, makeup lessons may be scheduled depending on the circumstances. If no notice is given, the lesson will be considered complete and no makeup will be scheduled. Remember, payment for lessons reserves lesson times, not a specific number of lessons.
If I have to cancel a lesson, a makeup lesson will be scheduled. If we cannot find a time to schedule a makeup lesson, then you will be credited with one lesson the next time you pay for lessons.
All lessons will be on the same day of the week and same time of day. This day and time will be chosen when the student begins lessons. If this time needs needs to be changed, please discuss it with me. If possible, the same lesson day and time should be maintained for at least a school semester. In order to plan ahead, schedules will be discussed and adjusted 3 times per year. The periods will be fall (September to December), spring (January to April) and Summer (May to August).
If you choose to discontinue lessons, please inform me 1 month before your final lesson.
