In 2025, Muncie Public Library (MPL) celebrates 150 years of serving our community in Muncie-Center Township, Delaware County, Indiana. Just as our community has had its ups and downs over the years, so has MPL, but one thing has never changed, our desire to provide enriching and educational content. We remain committed to literacy, learning, and community well-being. Our community’s needs determine what MPL offers, and our long history reflects that throughout the years of the library’s existence within Muncie-Center Township. Without our community, we could not be the innovative, vibrant public library that we are today.
