To Whom It May Concern,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express my interest in the Education Coordinator position in the department of Interventional Radiology. I am currently a Staff Radiographer for the department of Interventional Radiology and would like to incorporate my experience and education to advance my career. I have fifteen years of experience as an x-ray technologist and of those years, eleven has been direct patient care in within the department of Interventional Radiology. In my current position, I work in a team based environment to provide the best patient care possible as we perform both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures utilizing different radiography modalities such as x-ray, ultrasound, and computed tomography. Through my eleven years in this department, I have gained an immense amount of experience and knowledge about what Interventional Radiology entails and how if functions. I have participated in case specific set-ups with equipment and supplies, direct hands on experience with fellows and attending’s and patient therapeutic treatments while also helping make the patient workflow a smooth transition. I provide advocacy for all our patients and collaborate with their care teams to ensure the patient’s needs are met. This experience has been an asset to my radiography career and has helped me hone in on my communications skills to further represent Northwestern Medicine’s core values. Being in a fast paced environment, it has allowed me to use my judgment and problem solving skills appropriately as a medical professional and to facilitate teamwork. I have also served as a preceptor in three different departments. I enjoy mentoring and sharing my experiences with students and new staff technologists.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Massimiliano Pierazzi
