Move the Butte 2027 Schedule Announcements

Early February 2027 — MTB tickets will go on sale.

February 18–20, 2027 — Move the Butte performances will take place at the CFTA in Crested Butte.

September 7–October 1, 2026 — MTB 2027 Call for Choreographers application period. 

The application link will be posted on our website and social media and sent via email on September 7. Applications close on October 1.

October 2, 2026 — Choreographer notifications and confirmations. All applicants will be notified by the end of the day of acceptance or waitlist.

October 7 or October 8, 2026 — Selected choreographers must attend one of the following mandatory choreographer meetings:

• Wednesday, October 7, 2026 | 8:00–10:00 AM
  Pump Room, 306 Maroon Avenue

• Thursday, October 8, 2026 | 5:30–7:30 PM
  Jerry’s Gym at Town Hall, 507 Maroon Avenue

October 20, 2026 — MTB 2027 list of pieces and classes will be posted for early viewing.

October 23, 2026 — MTB 2027 Call for Dancers, Piece Registration, and Scholarship Application period begins. Dancer forms and registration information will be posted on our website and social media and sent via email.

October 30, 2026 — MTB Rehearsal Class Scholarship applications close.

November 11, 2026 — Scholarships awarded.

November 13, 2026 — Dancers notified of acceptance or waitlist status.

November 15, 2026 — MTB SOD Rehearsal Classes begin, with rolling start dates to follow for individual and Community pieces.

Important Mandatory MTB ALL CAST 2027 Dates

These meetings and events are for participants only and are NOT OPEN to the general public.

All dates below are located at the CFTA in Crested Butte.

Sunday, January 3, 2027 — First Showing 

• 12:00–3:00 PM — First Showing

• 3:00–4:00 PM — Choreographers Meeting

• 50% of choreography must be complete

Sunday, January 31, 2027 — Second Showing

• 12:00–4:00 PM — Second Showing

• 4:00–5:00 PM — Choreographers Meeting

• 95% of choreography must be complete

Sunday, February 14, 2027 — Individual Rehearsals on Stage

Tuesday, February 16, 2027 — Tech Rehearsals

Thursday, February 18, 2027 — Opening Night

Friday, February 19, 2027 — Show Night

Saturday, February 20, 2027 — Matinee Show & Finale Show
