We envision a world where people don't experience grief alone. The Movement for Healing Project exists to create shared spaces for those experiencing loss and grief to explore how community, connection, conversation, and body-centered practices can support healing in life after loss.
The experiences of loss and grief are universal and can unite us in mutual support
Community, connection, and witnessing transform our pain into something held, seen, and integrated
Our communities and our bodies are vital, carrying wisdom, experience, and power to help us integrate our losses
Healing doesn't mean fixing because loss doesn't just get better; it means integrating all the parts of loss into our stories and finding meaning in whatever ways we can
Wholeness. We seek the whole self and harmony among its parts. We seek to be our authentic selves and make space for others bring their full selves too.
Inclusivity. We desire to be inclusive and for our community experiences to be easily accessible — all are welcome here.
Care. We aim to create safe, brave, and comfortable experiences, helping our community feel well cared for.
Dignity. We are a community built on the principles of mutual respect, consent, and dignity, recognizing the value and the rights of the other.
Curiosity. We are willing to be open, curious, self-compassionate; to look within; to explore; to celebrate the value of the process itself rather than only the outcome.
