Hadi Movaghari
Bio
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, UK. Before that, I was a fully funded PhD student by COSS scholarship at that university. Prior to my doctoral studies, I received both M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Statistics from Tarbiat Modares University and Razi University, Iran, respectively.
My research and teaching interest lies at the intersection of machine learning and finance. Particularly, I study applications of advanced causal machine learning methods in corporate liquidity management.
I have a mixed portfolio of work experience in public and private sectors. For about 10 years, I worked as a statistical and budget expert in a public institution for social welfare, Tehran, Iran. I also served as a statistical consultant in a private company in Iran.
