I am a Teaching Fellow in Finance at the University of Leicester School of Business (ULSB), UK. Before joining Leicester, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Adam Smith Business School (ASBS), University of Glasgow, UK (2023–2025). I also hold a visiting position at the Nijmegen School of Management, Radboud University, the Netherlands.
I earned my PhD in Finance from the Adam Smith Business School, fully funded by the College of Social Sciences (CoSS) Scholarship. Prior to my doctoral studies, I obtained both my MSc and BSc degrees in Statistics from Tarbiat Modares University and Razi University, Iran, respectively.
I bring a diverse professional background spanning the public and private sectors. For nearly ten years, I served as a Senior Statistical and Budget Expert at a public social welfare institution in Tehran, Iran, and also worked as a Statistical Consultant for a private firm.
My research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning, finance, and economics. My work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including European Financial Management, International Journal of Finance and Economics, International Economics, International Review of Economics and Finance, and Applied Economics.
In April 2025, my research on machine-learning applications in finance was endorsed by the British Academy. I was also the recipient of the 2024 PhD Excellence Award from the Adam Smith Business School. In addition, I hold the Certified Management & Business Educator (CMBE) designation from the Chartered Association of Business Schools and have received the University of Glasgow’s Recognising Excellence in Teaching certification..
