Katy Early earned a K-8 Teaching Credential and a master's degree in mathematics education at CSU, Chico. She taught elementary grades in the Chico Unified School District for 17 years and became a mathematics teacher leader for the district. Ms. Early held a position as Teacher-in-Residence at CSU, Chico from 2000 until 2019, teaching mathematics courses for pre-service elementary school teachers. She served as a member of the writing team for the 2023 CA Mathematics Framework. Katy continues to provide professional development for local school districts through the Chico State Mathematics Project.
Dr. Brian J. Lindaman, Professor of Math Education at CSU Chico, Writing Team Lead for 2023 CA Mathematics Framework, taught high school geometry in Kansas City, MO. His interest in recent years is in helping LEAs adopt and institutionalize a culture of sustained professional learning for teachers, focusing on coaching and lesson study as agents for teacher growth.

This conference offers up to 5 hours towards a multi-disciplinary unit of credit (which requires a total of 15 hours per unit, all completed within one year) through Chico State’s Professional and Continuing Education.
