Mount Carmel welcomes volunteers! Whether you want to spend some time helping others, complete your volunteer hours for school, or get practical experience in a Retirement Home setting, we would love for you to volunteer at Mount Carmel. Some opportunities would include:

• Tuck Shop

• Activities

• Companionship

• Accompany residents on walks in the community

• Accompany residents on shopping trips

Our volunteers make our residents' lives better. In addition, volunteers can enjoy a sense of purpose and personal fulfillment. Developing connects with residents is meaningful for both the resident and the volunteer, and can make a huge different in our residents' lives.

The is no time commitment required for volunteers at Mount Carmel. Hours are flexible and we will work with your schedule and availability.

Please note that Mount Carmel continues to be vigilant in the fight against COVID-19. All volunteers will be expected to participate in active screening when entering the Home, including Rapid Antigen Testing for COVID-19. Medical masks must be worn at all times while in the Home and/or while interacting with residents of Mount Carmel Home, and social distancing should be maintained whenever possible.
