Coach Bowbliss has been at Mountain View High School since its inception in 2009, initially working with the Mountain View Youth program. In 2014, Coach Bowbliss transitioned to assist Coach Gassman with the Varsity and Junior Varsity Programs. Before coming to Mountain View, Coach Bowbliss served as an assistant under Coach Cliff Ramos at Collins Hill High School from 1997 to 2005. In 2003, Coach Bowbliss helped the Eagles win their first of many State Championships.
Coach Bowbliss wrestled at Meadowcreek High School from 1990-93, where he was a state runner-up in 1993 and placed 4th in 1992. He went 101-23 in his high school career. He was a varsity letter winner for the Ga State Wrestling team in 1994.
Coach Bowbliss has three children: Anna, who is 24, Lindsey, who is 22, and his son Michael, who is 20.
At Mountain View High School, Coach Bowbliss is a Special Education Science teacher and is currently the assistant Lacrosse coach. While at Mountain View, he has also coached football for 9 years and Soccer for 1 year.
When it comes to Coach Bowbliss’s philosophy on coaching, while winning championships and developing good wrestlers are goals, teaching about great character and developing his student-athletes into even better adults is what truly drives him.
