Asst Coach - Austin Traina

Coach Traina is an assistant coach at Mountain View High School. Prior to joining the Mountain View Bears Wrestling staff, Coach Traina has been assistant coach for multiple elite programs. Before coming to Mountain View, Coach Traina was an assistant under Coach Clark at Flowery Branch High School from 2023-2024, Coach Kyle McKee at North Gwinnett High School from 2022-2023, and Coach Chris Cicora at Brookwood High School from 2021-2022. In 2023, Coach Traina helped the North Gwinnett Bulldogs to their first team dual and traditional region wrestling titles as well as their first wrestling duals sectional title in 2023. The Bulldogs also qualified for their first state dual appearance the same year.

Coach Traina wrestled at Chattahoochee High School and graduated in 2012. He then went on to wrestle at Kennesaw State University where the program was later disbanded in 2014. Coach Traina now coaches wrestling and trains the martial art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

At Mountain View High School, Coach Traina is a Special Education History Teacher. He looks forward every year too mentoring and supporting our young students to achieve their goals through hard work and resilience.
