Papers I Want to Write
The following are papers I want to write in the future. They are not listed in any specific order. Some have links to the current document. Check out my progress!
Stabilizing Control using Analytic Gains to Specify Desired Handling Qualities
This is a paper I want to write on a potential MIMO control design where desired handling qualities are achieved through selection of gains via dynamic mode approximations.
BIRE Linear Tracking Control
This is a paper I am writing on using a linear tracking controller on a bio-inspired aircraft.
Sound interesting? You'll have to wait till it is published to see this.
Aileron-per-g and Rudder-per-g Relations
While writing this paper on lateral maneuver points, I derived relations between the lateral control effectors and the side-force load factor. I would like to dive more into this topic.
Sound interesting? I'll put a link here if I start writing this.
Mass Properties Compendium of Simple Shapes
While writing this paper on a simple method for calculating the inertia of wings, I realized little work has been done to determine the analytic equations for the inertia of simple objects. And several that have been done (and are used frequently) are incorrect. I intend to mitigate this error.
BIRE Nonlinear Stabilizing Control
This is a paper I am writing on using a nonlinear stabilizing controller on a bio-inspired aircraft.
Sound interesting? You'll have to wait till it is published to see this.
BIRE Nonlinear Tracking Control
This is a paper I will write on using a nonlinear tracking controller on a bio-inspired aircraft.
Sound interesting? You'll have to wait till it is published to see this.
Complex Wing
While working on this school project I found some interesting things about using quaternions to map a 3D sphere to a 3D wing, similar to Joukowski airfoils.
Sound interesting? I'll put a link here if I start writing this.
History of Outmoded Words in Aerodynamics
This is a paper I want to write about the history of other words in aerodynamics. Avigation, Aether, ether drag, and aerodrome are potential words. This paper would be in the vein of the burble paper.
Sound interesting? I'll put a link here if I start writing this.
