The Motion and Mobility Lab aims to support healthy aging and sports development by improving our understanding of the neuromechanical control of human movement and to develop technology to measure and monitor movement for the purpose of improving mobility, function, and performance for clinical populations and sport.
Our vision is to be leaders, nationally and internationally, in technologies to measure and monitor movement and training interventions for the purpose of improving mobility and performance to enhance health and well being in clinical populations as well as within sport.
Members of the lab are expected to take full responsibility for their role in a research project, carry out experiments with integrity and to be invested in the current and future success of other lab members. Members will respect that the lab is a professional setting, while allowing for comfortable informality.
Our purpose is to study and understand human movement in clinical and sport populations, from a biomechanics and motor control perspective, and validate and enhance technology to measure and improve mobility and performance.
Our goal is to create a friendly, supportive, collaborative, positive, productive and professional environment in which we can train future generations of scientists.
