MotherScholars of Color is a space to gather, to breathe, and to speak. We are women of color who mother and write, teach and care—often all at once. Through stories, study, and solidarity, we share what holds us up and what helps us heal and thrive. We believe care is knowledge. Silence can speak. And when we come together, we don’t just survive—we build, we imagine, we create new ways to move through the world.
We are Black and Asian motherscholars in academia, challenging systemic barriers and fostering solidarity for a more inclusive and just educational environment.
Through Solidarity in Action, we share authentic conversations that break silences, amplify marginalized voices, and inspire collective empowerment among mother-scholars of color navigating academia.
Our research focuses on exploring the intersecting challenges of race, gender, and motherhood faced by mother-scholars of color, highlighting their resilience and the power of solidarity in academic spaces.
We are committed to breaking silences and building bridges between communities, fostering connection, mutual support, and transformative change within academia.
