Moss Vale Evening CWA was established in December, 2018 with 24 members, and welcomes enquiries from like minded local women.
Meetings are held at the Girl Guide Hut, 3 Donkin Avenue, Moss Vale, opposite the side of Wingecarribee Shire Council Chambers.
An Evening branch gives the flexibility within CWA processes to be more adaptive to local community needs and be more understanding of the demands of today's women in the community, while drawing from the strength of the CWA brand and reputation.
The branch offers the hand of friendship to all members, aims to have fun, learning together, to be open and transparent in all of its operations, while continuing to seek ways to help our local community.
We hold a formal monthly business meeting, friendship get togethers - morning and evening, enjoy having guest speakers. We hold frequent events ranging from Christmas in July, High Teas, book launches, celebrate International Women's Day, support families in hospitals or in crisis and support native animal welfare by making pouches and liners for injured wild life through to much longer term opportunities. Of course members don't have to do everything - simply those activities they may enjoy.
Pictures of our functions, upcoming events and general information will appear on our Facebook page- please search for moss vale evening cwa.
The branch is pleased to have a partnership with Bendigo Bank and works with other organisations like Vinnies, Lions, on projects when mutual benefit is available. We also have a strong relationship with our Moss Vale High School and Moss Vale Public, Moss Vale Community Garden, Girl Guides and other local community organisations.
