Laylight Series

The Laylight Series is inspired by an art glass window originally created by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Darwin Martin House in Buffalo, NY. The series is an exploration of color combinations sewn from individual pieces of ripstop nylon fabric to create alternate versions of the original art glass windows.

Each sail is constructed using about 80 individual pieces of ripstop nylon fabric, and is approximately 24 in x 48 in. The style is a variant of an Ohashi kite, which is a simplified version of a traditional rectangular Japanese Edo kite.
