Color Theory

The Color Theory series is an exploration of tints and shades from the color wheel.  Smaller panels include a single cell of the color's complement .  In addition to a single panel of each primary and secondary color, the final panel is single 12 foot sail with all colors used in the individual color panels.

These kites were constructed using individual rectangular pieces of ripstop nylon, with solid color borders.  Each smaller kite is approximately 24 in x 48 in., and are made in the style of a Japanese Ohashi kite.  The large ribbon kite is approximately 24 in x 144 in.  The mini banners are approximately 12 in. x 24 in.
