By downloading, installing, or using MorseWave (“App”, “we”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download or use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the developer of MorseWave. Your continued use of the App following any updates to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
MorseWave is a mobile application for learning, translating, and transmitting Morse code. It provides the following features:
Text-to-Morse — Convert any text into Morse code instantly
Morse-to-Text — Decode dots and dashes back into readable text
Audio Playback — Hear your Morse code at adjustable speed and tone
Flashlight Signal — Transmit Morse code using your device’s torch
Screen Flash — Transmit using your display as a visual signal
Vibration Signal — Transmit using haptic feedback
SOS Beacon — One-tap emergency distress signal
Structured Lessons — 100+ step-by-step lessons from beginner to advanced
Flashcard Quiz — Test your knowledge with multiple difficulty levels
WPM Trainer — Practice receiving and sending at adjustable words-per-minute
Farnsworth Timing — Industry-standard spacing for ham radio training
Full Morse Code Chart — Letters, numbers, and punctuation reference, available offline
The App is intended for personal use, education, and amateur radio training. It does not provide legal, medical, or emergency dispatch services of any kind.
You must be at least 4 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use this App. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement.
The App does not require account registration. All processing is performed locally on your device. We do not collect or store your data on our servers, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business purposes.
You may not:
Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or transfer the App to any third party
Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the App
Use the App to develop a competing product or service
You retain full ownership of all text, translations, and content you create or process using the App (“User Content”).
By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:
All processing is performed locally on your device
We do not upload, transmit, or store your content on external servers
You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of any saved content
We do not access, view, or use your content for any purpose
You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights and permissions to use any content you process through the App, and that your use does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the App to:
Transmit or communicate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or fraudulent
Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any person or entity
Create or distribute forged, falsified, or deceptive communications
Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
We reserve the right to terminate your access to the App if you violate this Acceptable Use policy.
The SOS beacon and signal transmission features in the App are provided as general-purpose tools. They are NOT a substitute for official emergency services.
You acknowledge and agree that:
The App does not connect to emergency dispatch services (such as 911, 999, or 112)
Morse code signals transmitted via flashlight or audio may not be received or understood by others
In a genuine emergency, you should always attempt to contact official emergency services through your device’s phone or messaging functions
We are not liable for any outcome resulting from reliance on the App’s SOS or signal features in an emergency situation
The App, including its design, interface, features, code, branding, logos, and all associated content, is the exclusive intellectual property of the developer of MorseWave and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in or to the App or its intellectual property, except for the limited license explicitly granted in Section 4.
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
The App will meet your specific requirements
The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
Any errors in the App will be corrected
Morse code signals transmitted by the App will be received or understood by any other party
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER OF MORSEWAVE BE LIABLE FOR:
Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data resulting from use of the App
Any outcome arising from use of the SOS or signal transmission features
Decisions made based on Morse code translations produced by the App
Any damages arising from unauthorized access to your device
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $1.00 USD IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE ANY PAYMENTS.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The App processes all data locally on your device. The App may allow export or sharing to third-party services such as Apple Files, iCloud Drive, email clients, and messaging apps available on your device. Your use of such third-party services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party services.
We may release updates, bug fixes, or new versions of the App from time to time via the Apple App Store. Some updates may be required for continued use of the App. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any features at any time, with or without notice.
We are not obligated to provide any particular features, updates, or support for the App.
These Terms remain in effect until terminated by either you or us. Your rights under these Terms will automatically terminate without notice if you fail to comply with any provision of these Terms.
Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies from your devices. Sections 9, 10, 11, and 16 survive termination of these Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of your jurisdiction.
The following terms apply specifically to your use of the App obtained through the Apple App Store, as required by Apple Inc.:
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and the App developer only, and not with Apple Inc. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance and support services for the App.
The license granted is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the App Store Review Guidelines.
Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support services with respect to the App. Any maintenance and support obligations rest solely with the App developer.
Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
The App developer, and not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your possession and/or use of the App, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of such claim.
Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, by providing notice within the App.
Your continued use of the App after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
