MorseWave
Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 1, 2026
Effective Date: June 1, 2026
Summary: MorseWave processes all your data entirely on your device. We do not collect, upload, transmit, or share your personal data or document contents with anyone.
MorseWave (“App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding any information that may be processed when you use our App.
This policy is designed to comply with applicable privacy laws and the Apple App Store Review Guidelines, including Apple’s requirements for apps that handle user data.
By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
MorseWave is designed with privacy by default. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share:
Personal identifiers (name, email address, phone number, or device ID)
Location data of any kind
Usage analytics or behavioral data
Crash reports or diagnostic data sent to our servers
Advertising identifiers or tracking data
Contacts, photos, or media from your device (beyond files you explicitly open)
Browsing history or search history
Financial information
The App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use any of its features.
When you use the App, the following data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:
All text you translate, decode, or practice with remains on your device at all times. This includes:
Text you type for Morse code conversion
Dots and dashes you enter for decoding
Practice sessions and lesson progress
Any audio playback generated from your input
Your lesson progress, practice speed settings (WPM), tone preferences, and other in-app settings are stored locally on your device using Apple’s standard on-device storage. They are never transmitted off your device.
Any custom speed profiles, saved translations, or training history you create are stored locally on your device only. You can delete them at any time from within the App settings.
Below is a summary of how each feature in the App handles your data:
Text-to-Morse: Text you enter is converted on-device. Not transmitted.
Morse-to-Text: Dots and dashes you enter are decoded on-device. Not transmitted.
Audio Playback: Tones are generated locally. No audio is recorded or sent anywhere.
Flashlight Signal: Uses your device’s torch hardware locally. No data is transmitted.
Screen Flash Signal: Rendered locally on your display. Not transmitted.
SOS Beacon: Activated entirely on-device. No location or usage data is sent.
As an App Store app, MorseWave operates within the Apple ecosystem. Certain Apple services may collect data independently and subject to Apple’s own Privacy Policy:
If you purchase a premium subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple Inc. We receive only a confirmation of your purchase status (active or expired). We do not receive your payment information, Apple ID, or any personal data from Apple in connection with your purchase.
Apple may collect aggregate, anonymized analytics about App Store usage (such as number of downloads and crash logs) as described in Apple’s Privacy Policy. This data is provided to us only in aggregated, non-identifiable form.
We encourage you to review Apple’s Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
MorseWave does not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or social media SDKs.
Any third-party open-source libraries used within the App are used solely for core functionality (such as audio generation and signal processing) and do not independently collect or transmit your personal data.
The App may request the following device permissions, solely to provide its core features:
Microphone Access — Only if a future audio Morse decoding feature is enabled, and only when you explicitly activate it.
Camera / Flashlight Access — To transmit Morse code signals using your device’s torch. Access is used only when you activate the signal feature.
All permissions are optional and requested only when needed. You can revoke any permission at any time through your device Settings app. Revoking a permission will disable the corresponding feature but will not affect other App functionality.
The App is rated 4+ on the Apple App Store, meaning it is suitable for all ages. However, the App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction under local law, such as 16 in certain EU member states).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App collects no personal data from any user, there is no risk of inadvertent collection of children’s data through our App.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us through means outside the App, please contact us at the address below and we will promptly address your concern.
Because all processing occurs entirely on your device, your data is protected by the security measures built into your Apple device, including:
iOS device encryption (enabled when you set a passcode)
Apple’s sandboxing technology, which prevents other apps from accessing the App’s data
Face ID / Touch ID protection if enabled on your device
We recommend keeping your device’s operating system up to date and enabling a strong passcode to maximize the security of your data.
In the event that any future update to the App involves data transmission, we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain your consent before implementing such changes.
Since we do not collect personal data, there is no data held by us to delete. All data associated with the App (lesson progress, preferences, settings) is stored exclusively on your device.
You can delete all App data at any time by:
Deleting the App from your device (this removes all locally stored App data)
Clearing individual saved settings within the App settings
Managing App storage through iOS Settings → General → iPhone Storage → MorseWave
MorseWave is available globally through the Apple App Store. Since the App does not collect personal data, cross-border data transfer restrictions are generally not applicable.
For users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom: we do not act as a data controller or data processor with respect to personal data, as we do not process personal data. Apple may act as a data controller for certain platform-level data as described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents have no personal data held by us to access, correct, or delete.
