On March 9th, the Morristown Fire Department performed vehicle extraction training. Firefighters practiced with equipment they own to familiarize themselves with the technique and capability.
They performed dash lifts, they cut doors off, and performed vehicle stability. The training lasted two and a half hours, and two cars were cut up.
The Morristown Fire Relief held its annual Firemen’s Dance on May 9. This year, the event was hosted outdoors and was so successful that organizers plan to hold it outside again next year. The band IV Play has already been booked.

The 41st Annual Dam Days celebration was held May 29th through May 31st.
Congratulations to Kyeria Morris, Miss Morristown 2026, and Ellie Schlie, Princess 2026, on being crowned this year’s royalty to reign over the Dam Days Parade and celebration.
These two outstanding young women will spend the year representing Morristown by attending area parades, pageants, and community events.
