My Story

I started crocheting when I was younger. My mom taught me the basic way to make a blanket. For years, I couldn't figure out why I was messing it up but I never gave up. Finally, I got the hang of it and made my first blanket! Below, is my first blanket progress. It's not perfect but it was a stepping stone for what was to come.

Soon after this, I made a blanket for my Fiance for Christmas for my 2nd project. At this point it was more of a hobby and nothing more than that. I enjoy crocheting and I showed people online or spoke about it to others. Some even suggested that I start making other crocheted things and sell them. So that's what I did.

Morgan Crochets was a Facebook Page I made in 2019 and I started off making hats and hearts. I wanted to make more items in the meantime before I did any shows or put my work out there on the internet. My Fiance's sister who also has her own craft page told me about the craft shows and how she was involved in one coming up. She told me that she thinks I could do it and at first, I turned it down. Then after, I changed my mind and went for it.

Now currently, I do some shows when I can, post on my page and still go about learning what I love to do. Sometimes, I don't even think of it being something to sell. For me, it's way more than that. I'm still learning what works for me and what doesn't. I take suggestions from others who would be interested in owning one of my handmade projects. I do take pride in what I make especially when I hear people compliment my work. It gives me the confidence boost that is well needed and it gives me motivation to keep going.

I can't wait for what is to come. I intend on progressing more into crocheting. I entertain the thought of making more forms of art to show and maybe sell at some point. For now, I want to take the time and grow beyond the art. Creation is rewarding and I couldn't be any happier.

Thank you for reading and if you enjoy what I do, go on to the next page and check out what I made :) As always, your thoughts and suggestions are welcome!
