During the joint activities during their visit to Taranto, the students not only visited the beautiful corners of Apulia (areas located on the heel of an Italian shoe), but also took part in workshops and lectures on tolerance in various areas of social life. The youth also had the opportunity to meet representatives of non-governmental organizations saving the lives of refugees in the Mediterranean, learned about the history of women's rights movements, attended classes at the University of Taranto, and listened to the accounts of UNICEF members supporting children at risk of exclusion. Delighted by Italian culture and cuisine, they experienced the hospitality of the hosts and made many new friendships.
