(more than) Victims

When searching for information on women murdered by Ted Bundy, it is difficult to find information that does not regard the circumstances of their deaths.

What defines one's life should not be the final act of violence exacted upon them; each life Bundy took was that of a person with a family, with interests, and with a place in the world. Their humanity is presented below.

Denise Naslund

Denise studied computer programming and was known as a ray of sunshine who never failed to help someone in need. She often bought her mother gifts without occasion.

She was 19.

Janice Ott

Janice was a caseworker at a Youth Services Center in Seattle. She hoped to provide guidance to her clients so that they could be successful. She rode a yellow bicycle.

She was 23.

Donna Gail Manson

Donna was a college student who loved playing the flute and was incredibly smart. She also had a love for adventure, often disappearing for days at a time and returning with stories of hitchhiking and exploring.

She was 19.

Susan Rancourt

Susan was an extremely active person, always taking on new activities. She aspired to a career in medicine and worked full time as a nurse while studying. She loved to run and learned karate. She was pursuing a job as a dorm advisor at the time of her death.

She was 19.

Roberta kathleen "Kathy" Parks

Kathy Parks was a Liberal Arts and World Religions major at Oregon State University. She loved her family dearly and experienced homesickness often.

She was 20.

Brenda Ball

Brenda was a free spirit who was loved by all around her. She enjoyed going on adventures by herself, and was known to disappear for days on end. She was a student at Highline Community College.

She was 22.

Georgeann Hawkins

Georgeann Hawkins was a student at the University of Washington and maintained straight A's for her entire academic career. She frequently discussed her upcoming job with her parents and was excited about her future.

She was 18.

Caryn Campbell

Caryn was a registered nurse and was engaged to a cardiologist. Despite their age difference, she got along well with his two children and was excited to start their life together.

She was 23.

Lisa Levy

Lisa Levy was a member of Chi Omega at FSU. She was a hard worker and a good friend. On the night of the Chi Omega killings she had been out dancing with her friends.

She was 20.
