Using the Murphy Bed

The murphy bed is designed to pull down over the couch

Remove the pillows and the couch backings. Place beside the bed or directly in front of the couch on floor.

Using the recessed grip on the right side of the bed, pull the bed forward and extend the shelf (which doubles as the bed legs) as it lowers
