Thank you for your interest in participating in Moraine Township's Latino Advisory Committee's Second Annual Community Resource Fair that will be Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 10 AM to 1 PM in the Exhibition Gym at Highland Park High School. Last year, 30 organizations participated and over 120 families attended, underscoring the importance of accessing invaluable resources that benefited them tremendously. We anticipate this year’s Fair will be even bigger and better and that you will join us for this impactful event!
The Community Resource Fair is open to everyone in our community and is designed to provide families with vital resources and support in areas such as housing insecurity, healthcare inequities, immigration, and recreational information on summer jobs, summer camps, and athletic programs. By bringing together a variety of organizations that address critical gaps for families—especially those facing challenging circumstances—we aim to create a 'one-stop shop' event where essential information and opportunities can be shared. Our goal is to empower families in late winter with knowledge of key programs, especially those for the summer, helping them maximize their understanding of opportunities by accessing valuable community resources.
We warmly welcome your presence and invite your organization to host a table with information about your services and programs, allowing you the opportunity to connect with families from the community. As space is limited, please confirm your attendance by completing the 2025 Community Fair confirmation form by Friday, January, 17, 2025.
Please contact Pablo Alvarez at trusteealvarez@morainetownship.org for more information.
Families and participants to the fair will be provided with a Passport to navigate the fair and ensure they meet with all organizations present qualifying them to enter a raffle for baskets with items donated by participating organizations. We kindly ask all organizations to consider donating items for raffle baskets. Last year, baskets contained books, school supplies, activities for children, art supplies, etc. Any donations are appreciated and members of the Latino Advisory Committee will organize baskets with themes.
Please confirm your items and donation for the raffle basket here. We greatly appreciate your support to maximize the experience for both organizations and participants.
