About LAC

 Moraine Township's Latino Advisory Committee

Moraine Township’s Latino Advisory Committee is composed of committed leaders representing organizations from Highland Park and Highwood that serve the needs of Latino families.  The Latino Advisory Committee focuses on addressing housing insecurity, health care options, and recreational needs of families in Highland Park and Highwood.  In addition, this group serves as ombudsmen to our local Latino community and collaborate with Moraine Township to inform residents of services available from Moraine Township.  We also inform Township Trustees of gaps in human services the Township may be able to help address.

We have created partnerships with area organizations such as Highland Park Police Department, Ravinia Music Festival, Chicago Botanic Gardens, Park District of Highland Park among many others.  Our members represent agencies, government entities, and various organizations in the Highland Park and Highwood Communities.

The LAC meets at least quarterly and is proud to organize our Second Annual Community Resource fair that is open to all residents in Moraine Township.
