I have a brand new Mac. I found the photoshopping tools but when I transferred the edited photos to Shutterfly, it transferred the unedited version. I was used to using the Apple photo book software and loved it. Now I am struggling. I make lots of photo books.
So a friend of mine is trans and has a very distinct adams apple and got quite some dysphoria from it. She asked me if I could remove it from some picutres but I never did that before and Im really no pro at all... How would one do that the best way without it looking like I just used the smudge tool?

I know this was over two years ago, so I am sure this is no longer your issue but may help someone out in current times. The lagging is still there in photoshop on ipads, and I have a 2022 generation iPad pro with a gen two apple pen. The lag hasn't been fixed yet. However though, to draw or edit, use Adobe Fresco. It is in the Photoshop family since it is an adobe product, of course. With fresco, you can even draw with a vector brush instead of converting. But it edits smoothly. There is a learning curve because it is laid out slightly differently than Photoshop on iPad. But Adobe Fresco works for me.
In my case, the same issue rises up when I am using Photoshop for iMac with an iPad Pro 2020 via screen sharing (Sidecar). The computer mouse works well with photoshop brush, but the apple pencil 2 is useful just for selecting tools. It doesn't extend to the pixel size of the selected brush.
I'm using the new iMac to run Photoshop and using apple Sidecar to connect it to my 12.9 inch ipad pro 2020. Everything seems to work fine appart from the Brush tool. The line that I paint is very small even if I enlarge the brush size to a really large amount. Changing the brush doesnt help- they all just stay the same tiny size. I have also tried turning pressure sensitivity on and off.
I am encountering the second issue you describe above where in order to get a strroke to show up, I have to press down with a LOT of pressure (It feels like I am going to break my iPad/apple pencil!)...do you know if this issue has been resolved or will be resolved soon? Thank you.
I'm wanting to use a tablet when it comes to me dodging and burning in photoshop . Is it possible to hook up my iPad to my Mac and use the pen and iPad for dodging and burning instead of having to buy a Wacom tablet
Many desktop Photoshop features are not in in IOS Photoshop while there are shortcuts in IOS Photoshop they are not all the same as in the desktop versions and I do not believe there is a Keyboard shortcut editor in IOS Photoshop. Also on windows and most likely Mac Pen buttons support and their setting are OS device driver support and settings. Microsoft or Wacom implemented pen button support. I do not believe Applet supports apple pencil on mac. What Apple support is provided for the Apple pencil 2 tap button. Can it be configured to act like a keyboard shortcut IOS Photoshop my have. My iPad pro does not support Apple Pencil 2.
Okay, I am having this exact problem. I can use the gen 1 apple pencil for everything except brushes in Lightroom for iOS.
I reset the iPad. I 'forgot' the pencil and reconnected. These worked for Photoshop, but not Lightroom. I cannot apply a brush mask using the apple pencil in Lightroom.
Did anyone find a solution for this? I'm using an Apple Pencil Gen 2 and I'm using the most recent version of photoshop as of 2024. I'm using the free trail of the educational purchase. My brush strokes don't appear unless I lift my pen. It's very frustrating. I was excited to use Adobe but I can't deal with this at all and I'm just resorting back to procreate. Will Adobe be fixed??
Use the intuous pen and tablet for most of your photoshop work. As far as general use in most apps, I prefer the trackpad. It took awhile for me to get used to it after decades of using a mouse, but I would not go back to a mouse now.
For the record Im experiencing a lot of problems with photoshop on my m1 machine. I would hold on to my intel MacBook for a few months, to see if this gets sorted out with the new native photoshop. Right now it is not very usable. I see spinning beach balls in quantities I never saw before. 589ccfa754
