Who are we?
Our story began in 2017 when Eelco created a spreadsheet to manage his cryptocurrency assets. The original Cointrexer Classic sheet gained popularity quickly, with hundreds of copies being made within days of its publication on Reddit. Eelco received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback and numerous suggestions to enhance the sheet's functionality.
Motivated by this response, Eelco started expanding the sheet's capabilities in various directions to accommodate everyone's specific requirements. However, over time, the sheet became slow and difficult to manage, losing its simplicity and becoming an unwieldy beast.
Realizing the need for a change, in November 2018, Eelco decided to go back to the drawing board and completely rewrite the code with a clear objective in mind: to keep it simple, crisp, and focused on its core functionality. The guiding principle became "less is more," and thus, Cointrexer XL (CtrXL) was born.
