Help Shape the Future of Our Scouts
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people? By joining our troop as an adult leader, you’ll play a crucial role in guiding and supporting our Scouts on their journey to becoming tomorrow’s leaders. Whether you have a few hours a month or can commit to a more involved role, your time and skills are valuable.
Scoutmaster & Assistant Scoutmaster: These roles involve direct mentorship of Scouts, helping them plan activities, develop skills, and achieve their goals. As a Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster, you’ll guide the youth leaders and oversee the troop’s outdoor adventures.
Committee Chair & Members: The troop committee functions like a board of directors, managing the troop’s administration. Positions include the Treasurer to manage finances, Secretary to keep meeting minutes, and Outdoor Activities Coordinator to ensure exciting camping experiences. Your expertise can help keep the troop running smoothly.
Advancement Coordinator: Encourage Scouts to advance in rank by organizing Boards of Review and coordinating with merit badge counselors. This role ensures that our Scouts are recognized for their achievements.
Equipment Coordinator: Oversee the maintenance and inventory of troop gear. This is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work and ensuring that our Scouts have the tools they need for successful outings.
Training Coordinator: Ensure that all leaders and committee members are properly trained. You’ll play a key role in youth protection and leadership development within the troop.
Activity Coordinator: Help with scheduling, research of campsites, available council events, and contact ranger or camp director to ask about service projects or discounts.
Volunteering with our troop is more than just a commitment of your time; it's an opportunity to inspire and empower the next generation. You'll develop leadership skills, create lasting memories, and contribute to a strong community.
