Tumor's genetic factors affecting the PDX engraftment in breast cancer

Tumor's molecular and clinical profiles can affect the efficacy of PDX tumor engraftment in PDX models of breast cancer. Furthermore, a distinct gene expression signature in triple negative breast cancer is associated with higher PDX engraftment. The genes included in this engraftment gene signature are often associated with poor prognosis in human triple negative breast cancer and some candidate genes are potentially functional targets in breast cancer cells.
