My work explores the ever-changing nature of the self within the environments and relationships that shape our lives. Through ceramics, I examine the subtle tensions between our inner emotions and the external world.
In my vessel series, the jar represents both the space I inhabit and the environment surrounding me. Leaves symbolize the natural and social world, while small human figures reflect my presence within it, continuously shaped by shifting relationships and experiences.
My recent work focuses on the instinctive gesture of curling inward. This movement emerges from three distinct sources: external circumstances and relationships, emotions arising from within, and the tension between my aspirations and reality.
Although curling inward may suggest withdrawal or vulnerability, I see it as a moment of introspection and renewal—a quiet space where I reconnect with myself and rediscover the strength to move forward.
Through my work, I seek to give form to the invisible emotions and tensions that shape our evolving identities.
