Grzegorz Duszanowicz

Comes from Poland and the city of Krakow. Born in 1970, he became interested in the night sky at the age of 10. For over 30 years, an electrician living in Sweden has continued his astronomical interests, observing mainly comets but also other subjects in the night sky. In 2002, next to his home near Stockholm, he built his dream small astronomical observatory in which he installed a telescope constructed by his friend. It was a 32 cm f / 3.1 Newtonian telescope with which in 2004 Grzegorz started a systematic survey of galaxies in order to discover supernovae. The first discoveries came as early as 2006. He made a dozen or so discoveries from this place. In 2015, he joined a remotely controlled observatory in Italy, where he continued to search for supernovae for several years. At the same time, the backyard observatory was moved to a slightly darker place near Uppsala and was also equipped with a remote control system. After finishing cooperation with this station in Italy, Grzegorz started looking for a new place. This search took him under the dark African southern skies of Namibia. Since 2019, he has installed his optical equipment on the Hakos farm, where he is searching for supernovae and now also searching for comets and NEO objects. In 2023, Grzegorz received a scholarship to expand the instrumentation for the search for NEOs - Shoemaker NEO grant  granted by The Planetary Society

..."I want to thank my family and especially my wife for making my dream observatories come into being! "

Jordi Camarasa

He was born in Sabadell, Spain, in 1976. When he was 12 years old, he became interested in astronomy. Later he entered the most important Astronomic Association of Sabadell in Spain. He created his own observatory in 1994, but at his parent's house. In 2007, he constructed his observatory on his actual house, Observatory Paus MPC B49. Currently, he is a disseminator in his digital planetarium, www.digiplanetarium.cat. He is working with his planetarium that goes around all schools near Catalonia, which explains astronomy concepts. In the B49 observatory he had done a lot of follows of NEO's objects, having a big experience in this subject. Also, he has interested with supernovas.

Since April 2022, he started collaborating with Grzegorz Duszanowicz, working from his observatory Moonbase L87. Since that moment from nowadays, they have discovered 36 NEO's objects and one supernova. This is the start of a great story. It will continue...

Word of thanks go to...

Katarina Henning-Duszanowicz  Without her great commitment in every respect, the projects sketched by Grzegorz the L87 observatory would not exist. Katarina is Grzegorz's wife.

Mats Johansson  Mats helped in the first installation and still helps in the modification of the L87 station as well as has a significant contribution to the development of the system software.

Lars Hermansson Lars helped in the last update and modification of the L87 station hardware.
