Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions") carefully before using the MonoNotes mobile application (the "Service") operated by Monolithic Labs ("us", "we", or "our").
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
MonoNotes is a note-taking application designed to help you create, organize, and manage your personal notes. The Service is provided in two tiers: a Free version (with advertisements) and a Premium version ("MonoNotes Pro") which offers cloud synchronization, unlimited notes, and an ad-free experience.
Billing: MonoNotes Pro is available through an auto-renewing subscription or a one-time purchase, processed securely via Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Auto-Renewal: If you choose a subscription plan, it will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Cancellations & Refunds: You can manage or cancel your subscription directly through your Google Play or Apple App Store account settings. Because payments are handled entirely by Apple and Google, we cannot directly process refunds. All refund requests must be directed to the respective app store.
Our Service allows you to create, store, and sync text, images, audio, and files ("Content").
Ownership: You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights to all Content you create.
Responsibility: You are entirely responsible for the Content you store in MonoNotes. You agree not to use the cloud-sync features of the Service to store, upload, or distribute any material that is illegal, highly offensive, or violates the rights of any third party.
Data Loss: While we use highly secure servers (Supabase) to sync your data, we cannot guarantee 100% uptime or absolute immunity from data loss. We strongly recommend keeping backups of crucial information.
If you choose to create an account for cloud synchronization, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.
PIN / Local Encryption: MonoNotes offers a feature to lock specific notes with a local PIN. This PIN is stored only on your device. If you forget your PIN, we have no technical ability to recover it or unlock your notes. You accept full responsibility for remembering your security PIN.
The Service and its original content, features, design, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Monolithic Labs and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright and trademark laws.
In no event shall Monolithic Labs, nor its directors, employees, or partners, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation: loss of profits, data (including your notes), use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or Content.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the MonoNotes cloud services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the cloud synchronization features of the Service will immediately cease.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
