There are several ways that you can participate!
Here are just a few...
This parade is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the creativity, pride, and community spirit that make Monmouth Beach such a special place. We would love to see our local businesses take part by creating their own parade floats. Floats can be made in many fun and simple ways — for example, by decorating a golf cart, pickup truck, landscaping truck, flatbed, or similar vehicle. There are countless creative possibilities, and participation can be as simple or as elaborate as you choose.
Having our local businesses represented will make the parade even more meaningful and memorable for residents, families, and visitors as we celebrate this historic milestone together. Your participation would help make the event a truly special experience for the entire community.
This parade is meant to be a joyful, family-friendly event, and we would love to see our neighbors participate in creative and fun ways. Residents are invited to decorate golf carts, and children are especially encouraged to decorate and ride their bicycles as part of the parade. Red, white, and blue, historic themes, and anything that celebrates Monmouth Beach are all welcome.
Local groups such as scouting, veterans groups, sports teams have long played an important role in our community, and this milestone celebration is a perfect opportunity to showcase the values of leadership, service, and civic pride that these groups represent. You are welcome to participate by marching in uniform, carrying flags or banners, or by creating a decorated vehicle or float if you choose. Participation can be simple and flexible, and we encourage you to make it fun and meaningful.
High school marching bands, drumlines or percussion groups, dance schools, cheerleading squads, local theater or musical groups are all invited to march and perform along the parade route.
Participants are welcome to perform in a style that best represents their group, whether through choreography, cultural dance, themed costumes, or live performance elements suitable for a moving parade environment. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain visibility, engage with the community, and celebrate the performing arts.
