My SMART Goal is to know more about geology and how it works.  I will know that I have reached my goal when my e-Portfolio is completed and done well.  In order to reach it, I will take the following actions: do my reading, ask questions, and be hands-on in class. I know this is attainable in the course of this semester because working on my assignments in a timely manner allows me to get the help I need from my professor or ACCESS without being overwhelmed. I plan to accomplish my goal by doing reading and homework on the night they are given; work on assignments a little each day. When I meet all of these goals, I expect to receive an A in the class.
