Cricket Sensex was a central hub of a collection of Facebook Pages that were all things cricket. Founders' initial idea was to have an audience that share common passion like them + find a voice with their respective self-proclaimed knowledge of the Game called cricket.
How did it all begin?
Cricket Sensex was the idea of two friends, who were studying back then and wanted to do something different using social media; partly to use Facebook's Fan Pages feature to support their ongoing university projects. At its core, it was more of a gamble. Though as things progressed, so were their aspirations with the CS brand.
My role at Cricket Sensex
Back in 2010, I co-founded and mostly, single-handedly managed a group of Facebook Pages focused on women's and men's cricket. We were loosely a team of 10 that worked remotely from their mobile (mostly) to keep the Pages alive.
I further planned the expansion of Brand CS onto other social media channels, specially keeping Google+ and Twitter in mind with a testing on Pinterest. In the meanwhile, I and my co-founder got involved with full-time jobs before anything could become a reality. We were helplessly short on time (+ resources) to bring concepts to life.

Achievements
We succeeded in creating a community that is largely focused on Cricket. Our fans were engaging with the content, and we had a healthy-to-great fan following, depending on the particular page + how often it is updated and with what content.
The most satisfying moment @ CS was when people requested more updates during LIVE matches; asked to post content that is otherwise not readily available on other Pages (in particular, a new haircut of MS Dhoni was thoroughly sought after by our fans); generously invited their friends to join us; positively responded to our partner's content that was in the testing phase; and asked help with FB's then new features (especially that of how to mention someone in a post).
Our efforts even brought us a collaboration opportunity with a UK-based website on women's cricket. It was after I had moved on from CS, and didn't wanna go back for some personal and professional reasons.
Overall, we gained 8,000+ followers (organically) from 14+1 Pages (ours + a partner whose data is not included here).
