Since February 2018, I am a Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences of the University of Bath. My previous positions were at the Department of Mathematics in the Universidad Catolica de Chile (since 2004, as professor since 2012) and at the Politecnico di Torino (since 1999, as Ricercatore in a permanent position). I obtained my PhD in 1997 from the Universita' di Pisa and I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Intenational School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste during 1998.

I work in the area of Nonlinear Analysis and Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). Some of the topics I am interested in are

• Singularity formation in elliptic and parabolic equations

• Concentration phenomena in critical problems

• Fractional Yamabe problem
