I am an Associate Professor in the School of Finance, Economics, and Government at Universidad EAFIT in Medellín, Colombia. Previously, I was a Research Associate at the Tennessee Education Research Alliance (TERA) at Vanderbilt University. I completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Education Research Alliance for New Orleans at Tulane University in 2018 and earned my Ph.D. in Economics and Public Policy from the University of Michigan in 2016.
I am broadly interested in understanding the non-academic, academic, institutional, and policy factors that affect children's educational outcomes and trajectories. In current research projects, I study rural education, higher education financing, demographic change, and socio-emotional skills.
