What are career training programs?

Career training programs offer structured learning experiences, often combining classroom instruction with hands-on training, to equip individuals with skills and knowledge for specific careers or industries.

Because of how skill-focused these programs are, they are fast paced and short! Some programs may last a whole year while others can be 4 weeks.

ELECTRIC TRAINING

San Diego Workforce Partnership is accepting applications for their electric training pre-apprenticeship!

Receive free training while preparing for a high paying and rewarding career in the energy, construction and utilities sector! This four week hands-on program will cover the fundamentals of a construction skilled tradesman position

This is a great opportunity if you've considered a career in electric and energy, but didn't know how to start.

MAAC Next Level Workforce Development Program

With this program, you'll learn more about the careers available to you in healthcare, trades, education, finance, and other fields

In addition they will provide tuition support and connect you to the resources needed to successfully complete a training program and job placement.

Pre-Apprenticeship EMT Academy

Applications for the Pre-Apprenticeship EMT Academy are currently being accepted!

This is a great opportunity for students that are interested in becoming an EMT and achieve a career in Fire Service

Over the course of the academy, cadets will complete the entry-level steps needed to launch a career as a firefighter. In addition to obtaining the skills required of a nationally registered EMT, academy cadets will physically train for the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT), receive preparatory instruction for the Cal-JAC written exam, and hone their interview skills through the guidance of a firefighter mentor.
